Food Dudes
Food Dudes has taken place over the last four weeks. Food Dudes is a curriculum based healthy eating programme developed to encourage children to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables. Each pupil will taste a variety of different fruit.
The Junior room were provided with Fruit/Vegetables for 16 days and the senior for 4 days.
The fruit and vegetables the children tasted included Peppers, Tomatoes, Apples, Oranges, Blueberries and Bananas.
All children made a great effort to taste everything and were rewarded with stickers and small rewards.
Baking
The senior room enjoyed some baking at the beginning of the month. They prepared the ingredients and made some lovely “Cupcakes.” All the pupils enjoyed decorating them and eating them.
Pumpkin Carving
All our pupils helped to carve pumpkins last Friday. The children also carved a face on a turnip. Carving turnips has been a tradition associated with Halloween for many years.
