Giles has resumed hurling coaching here in our school once a fortnight on Wednesdays between 10.45am and 11.45am.
Football
John Barry has resumed football coaching at the school once a fortnight on Thursdays between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
Football Cumann n mbunscoil
Well done to our Senior Room who took part in the Cumann na mBunscoil blitz last Friday. They played against Kilconly and Lyreacrompane. Unfortunately, they were defeated in the final. Each pupil received a silver medal as runners up.
Music Generation
We welcome Ray Fahy back this term as part of the Music Generation Program again this year. Music Generation is a national partnership programme whose mission is to create inspiring experiences for children through music. Our children will have an opportunity to create play and perform music. We look forward to the year ahead.
Trip to the Forge
On Thursday September 14th, all pupils travelled to Churchill Forge Heritage Centre We enjoyed a wonderful trip back in time. The resident blacksmith Ricky demonstrated the skills and techniques of a blacksmith. John Foley and John Lynch welcomed us and explained how Churchill Forge came into existence. On the way home we stopped in Ardfert Playground. Thiswas a big hit with all.
